The Kennedy Half Dollar was issued 1964-2021. It has a face value of .5 and a weight of 12.50g. The original engraver was Gilroy Roberts and the Kennedy Half Dollar was made of 90% silver and 10% copper. In 1964 the Kennedy Half Dollars were issued containing 90% silver. Coins issued from 1965 to 1970 are 40% silver. After 1970 Silver Kennedy Half Dollars only came as proofs from the S (San Francisco) mint. Not all proofs are silver, but all modern silver Kennedys are proofs. :)
