1878 was the first year Morgan Silver Dollars were issued. Typically anything from the CC (Carson City, Nevada) mint will be worth holding onto. The mint not longer exist today and was only in operation from 1870 to 1893. It is currently a museum. Just 2,212,000 of these were issued making by far the rarest of the 1878 Morgan's.
