1916 D Mercury Dimes are one of the most sought after dimes in the series. FB or Full Bands are important to the grade and quality of these coins. Full Bands refer to the horizontal bands on the reverse of the Mercury Dime that wrap around the column. If both bands are clear and easy to see then it is considered a FB Mercury. Otherwise they are considered weak bands and not as valuable.
