1840 Seated Liberty Dollar
The 1840 version of the Seated Liberty Dollar is worth on average $8,000.00 if in Mint State (uncirculated), while one in poor condition will have a value of just $350.00. If the coin has an error, or is certified this will further add to the appeal and raise it's price numismatically speaking.

The coin is based on the Gobrecht dollar. The obverse is said to be a seated representation of Liberty herself. So in this case there was no model used, but rather the lady is based off the concept of liberty. Lady liberty is often seen holding a flag as in the attached photo.
The Seated Liberty Dollar has a weight of 26.73 g.
