This 1943 Aluminum Cent is made from 98% aluminum and has an extra thick planchet, and smooth regular edges. This error coin has sold for more than $126k in the past at Auction. If you find this coin it will have a wider than normal thickness, and weigh about 1.56g and not the normal 3g.
